Things I’m doing while I should be working on my exhibit
- Walking around the park;
- Noticing a yard sale in my neighborhood on the way back;
- Buying funky geometric shelves at yard sale (only $4!);
- Deciding that I should probably reorganize my entire studio to accommodate the new shelves;
- Buying a frame for a 24x24 print so I can finally hang it on my wall … With the new shelves;
- Making one more stop so I can get brackets to hang the new shelves … And some wire for hanging the print;
- Framing the print;
- Taking down the old shelves;
- Sanding and spackling the holes that the old shelves left on the walls;
- Touching up the wall paint;
- Hanging the new shelves … And the print;
- Finding a spot for everything displaced by the old shelves that won’t fit on the new shelves …
This is what I like to call “falling down the home improvement hole.” It’s virtually impossible to get out. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I need to sort through the drawers on the other side of the room …
